What is KitchenMate?
KitchenMate is a Toronto based food-tech company that was founded with the mission to make tasty, nutritious, and affordable fresh food that fits into people's increasingly fast-paced lives. We are the only automated restaurant for businesses and healthcare facilities. Our solutions ensure that everybody can rely on us for quality food that meets stringent guidelines necessary for guarding against COVID-19 and other illnesses.
Ordering a Meal
How can I order my meal?
1. Log in to KitchenMate
Use the iOS or Android app or use my.kitchenmate.com/msh on a web browser (computer, laptop, phone)
2. Browse the Menu on the App
Click on any of the images to learn more about each dish (ingredients, allergens, nutrition, etc.)
3. Grab a meal (Meal Pod) from the Fridge
Physically pick any meal of your choice If present, remove the Condiment Pack from the Meal Pod
4. Place the Smart Pod into the Smart Cooker
Do not remove the film from the meal. Open the lid of the SmartCooker. Place the meal with the barcode facing you. Close the lid of the SmartCooker. Wait for a *beep* sound (this scans the barcode).
5. Press Get Cookin' on the KitchenMate App
Press Start when your meal appears in the app. You will be prompted to enter in your card details for payment (first-time only - Learn more about accepted payment methods). Press Confirm.
You'll be notified in about 10 minutes when your freshly cooked meal is ready!
The Meal Pod may be hot when finished. Be careful when removing the Meal Pod from the SmartCooker. Remember to always wash your hands and use clean cutlery.

How do I pay for my meal?

Are the payments safe?
All our payments are processed through Stripe, a world leader and best-in-class payment processing platform trusted by some of the biggest companies in the world.
KitchenMate does not hold any customer credit card information in their database.
Credit card data is sent and stored with Stripe using their secure API from the browser/app which returns the stripe ID.

Does KitchenMate have options for dietary restrictions?
We offer options for common diets including vegan, vegetarian, halal-friendly, free of gluten and free of dairy. Our meals are labelled accordingly on our app.
Are KitchenMate meals fresh?
We pride ourselves on producing fresh meals (not frozen) that are developed with restaurant-quality execution, assembled locally using high-quality ingredients and delivered throughout the week, resulting in the healthiest, freshest eating experience.
Where does the food come from?
Our food is designed by Michelin-star trained chefs and certified nutritionists working directly at KitchenMate. The recipes are then passed on to our partner kitchen where the meals are prepared fresh to order with the highest levels of quality and safety.
Is the food safe?
Our partner facility in Mississauga produces food for most of the major grocers in Canada and has consistently received the highest industry certifications with several levels of redundancy in its supply chain and production locations.
